WFReview 2.0.3 released – bug fixes, 2.8 support and more!

If you’re a long time follower, you probably remember my review of WFReview on my old site, Optimizing Advertising. I’ve since got rid of that god awful domain and have moved on to this wicked cool one. I’ve been using WFReview since pretty much the minute it came out. I’m running a bunch of local directory sites using it, and while I haven’t seen a million dollars in profit yet, I’ve been steadily ranking higher and higher for my niches and getting lots of legit comments to the sites and traffic is steadily increasing....

ASE 2009 NYC – Summary as seen through a newbie Canadian affiliate marketers eyes.

As far as I know, it’s a huge gathering of internet nerds that like to talk about marketing both offline and online. There’s also supposed to be a huge expo floor where all the companies entice you to sell their products using pretty much any method you can. Like I said, I’ve never actually been to one of these meetings before but I have been to conferences....

Tutorial: Fixing Kayako’s broken SSL so Gmail can be used without STunnel.

A little while ago we posted an article on configuring STunnel to use with Kayako because SSL over POP3 with Google Mail/Google Applications wasn’t working properly. Today we finally had some time to sit down and think about this and worked out a much better solution that doesn’t require STunnel to be involved in the mix. In the Kayako cron script, they have hard-set a “notls” option when trying to connect to the IMAP or POP3 email servers....
