As some of you know, we’ve been hard at work at on a revolutionary new twitter application. It’s called Timed Tweeter, and for a week or so we’ve been spending pretty much every waking hour coding, designing and debugging. Finally it is ready for testing. It’s not one of those apps that “does it all”, like so many of the others claim to be. Nor will it cook you breakfast or make you rich overnight....
So, as many of you know we launched our first campaign last week. It was a failure in terms of ROI, however we did get some interesting stats out of it, and some even more interesting keywords. I won’t tell you what niche it was, just incase I decide to start running the campaign again later on, but I will show you the stats that we determined. So, how did it work out?...
Well, we had some pretty good success with our post to give away $100 CAD in adwords. I don’t get why people submitted like 7 times, with different names, all from the same IP. Do they not think I can see that shit in the WP interface? I deleted the obvious “cheating” entries, and we were left with [Mihai @ Freshome.com][2] as the winner. Congratulations, your coupon has just been emailed out to the address you provided in your comment....
I wrote up this checklist while launching a few campaigns and thought it could help others. This is by far not complete, and I’ll probably keep coming back to update it, but it’s a good start.This is probably well known to any seasoned pro, but to newbs like myself it helps to have a list to check off when launching campaigns, especially checking those links! PPC CHECKLIST Research the market you’re interested in Determine a few offers you like from various networks Sign up for offers you want Register generic domain for niche Setup hosting for said domain Setup AWStats, Webalizer, Mint etc for your new domain Build Two Landing Pages for testing purposes Write Content for both landing pages and find/buy any images you need Create Privacy and Terms of Service if needed for your LP’s Keyword Research, find about 500 of them for your niche Create external files to link to (/links/offer....
