I Just Fucking Did It. First campaign unleashed on the tubes.

Little update to my previous post about just getting down to business and taking one vertical and running with it. I’ve successfully gotten my campaigns up and running on a couple of networks. The plan is to run 50$/day, for my specific demographic, for 5 days, in 5-6 US States that I chose. This should give me enough data to go back and tweak the ads, and keywords and see what comes of everything....

So, as many of you know I’ve been in the game since around November 2008. I was total newb back then, and didn’t even know what things like scrubbing, or scraping or p202 meant. There was a lot of learning to be done, and a helluva lot of reading from the Gay Webmaster Forum over at wickedfire. I’ve been in the game since around 2001, but not as an AM. I’ve been mainly running Adsense across my small network, and placing some bought ads from a handful of clients across my sites, not to mention Text Link Ads....

Dirty way to get Zip Code from a visitors IP, City and State using MaxMind GeoIP

As we mentioned in our previous post, the MaxMind geoip database doesn’t do too well with getting the zip code of users that visit your sites. We had a use today to grab the zipcode and popular an area of our site with it, and we’re going to show you how to do it as well. This assumes you already have GEOIP working, and are using the standard free database, and our zipcode database tutorial....
