Tonight I was setting up PHPBay and noticed they don’t seem to have any instructions on their site, or in their documentation or anyone in forums (and, only 3 pages of google results for this.. so I guess nobody else runs LigHTTPD with PHPBay). So, if you happen to be like me, and prefer speed and simplicity to large bloated http servers this may help you out. I’m not a super ninja with rewrite rules, so I had my buddy Eli Sand from nerdscene give me a hand on these....

So, you’ve probably heard of this crazy thing called Affiliate Summit before, but maybe you haven’t gone. Great, neither have I. As far as I know, it’s a huge gathering of internet nerds that like to talk about marketing both offline and online. There’s also supposed to be a huge expo floor where all the companies entice you to sell their products using pretty much any method you can. Like I said, I’ve never actually been to one of these meetings before but I have been to conferences....

These past few weeks I’ve really started thinking about Internet marketing and other ideas to make some near passive online income in the next 6 or so months. I’ve been reading many of the forums, downloaded a few e-books, read a lot of other blogs and have developed a few ideas of my own. I’ll be sharing this as much as I can on this blog for everyone to read, and hopefully start making money too....

We recently came across this site called SEO Traffic Guide. They are offering an interesting keyword tool for optimizing your online advertising campaigns with Do-Follow. We all know about Do-Follow and how integral it is for anyone interested in Link Building for their web site. Well, we were all new at some point, so maybe some of our readers don’t know. We’ll explain. Do-Follow is an option that web masters can enable on their web sites or blogs to let users commenting on their blogs market their sites....

Today I finally finished this great book that I’m reading called “Covert Persuasion : Psychological Tactics and Tricks to Win the Game” by Kevin Hogan and James Speakman. This book is pretty hardcore sales material, but if you run and operate your own business I’d say it’s pretty much required reading. Getting into people’s heads is very hard to do if you don’t have multi-million-dollar budgets like the large companies. You have to rely solely on yourself....
